Allergies and food intolerances

This is a common condition in cats. An adapted diet plays a vital role in reducing them.

ADVERSE REACTIONS TO FOODS

These reactions happen when your cat’s body does not recognise or accept the protein in a food, and to fight it off and expel it their immune system is activated. Usually these proteins are found in one or other of the foods that your cat usually eats.

HOW DO I IDENTIFY WHICH FOOD IS CAUSING MY CAT TO HAVE ADVERSE REACTIONS?

THAT IS THE INGREDIENT THAT IS MAKING YOUR CAT HAVE AN ADVERSE REACTION. ELIMINATE IT FROM THEIR DIET.

  • Your cat should be given a hypo-allergenic diet*

  • Begin by giving them a single ingredient

  • Do you notice any symptoms?

*Remember to carry out this process following your vet’s advice.
